Hi all,
Just recently, a colleague pointed me at this book: IOT-Inc, by Bruce Sinclair, 2017.

I instantly felt bad, because the book is out there for a while and I missed it yet. Now, after reading it, I can recommend it to everybody who intends to do business around the mystical IOT thing.
Why I liked the book? For me it provides a nicely structured approach and classification of the different business models that IOT enables. He focuses a lot on the question of value generation, where all starts and ends, and about the required basic models that sit behind the value generation. Paired with some real-life examples, the ideas are easy to digest also for IOT people.
Actually I think, anybody who plays in the IOT field should have that knowledge, and then derive the own ideas from there. It really provides a great baseline.
So, after reading this book, you may come back to my article about the IOT solution building taxonomy and dive deeping into the question of the technical things that need to be considered and that provides a pretty holistic picture. 😉
